2023 Sound Design Demo Reel

A collection of my best sound design work, focused on newer pieces from 2021 and 2022.

I directed both “Tether” and all content on “Draw 5 Move 5” leading not only the sound design work but also the visuals. For “Tether,” I wrote, recorded, and edited the film’s central poem, with the aid of Dr. Dave Sluberski and Dr. Sandra Boysen-Sluberki in recording and vocal coaching, respectively. I collected, edited, and mixed all sound effects and music tracks, and drew all of the keyframes and breakdowns while getting assistance with rotoscope photograpy, backgrounds and in-betweens for the animation.

The sample video from my YouTube Channel “Draw 5 Move,” meanwhile, was entirely self-produced in both visuals and audio, with the exception of the music tracks.

“Wonders of a World” and “Island” were freelance work for colleagues at RIT. For “Wonders of a World,” I provided Foley work for footsteps and various creature effects, collecting some extra bits from credited sound libraries were I couldn’t make my own effects. Editing and mixing were also performed, as well as touch-ups on the narration track. The film was nominated for the 2021 Moscow Short Shot Fest. For “Island” I had similar responsibilities, providing some Foley, audio collection, editing, and mixing.
